My name is Akshay K. Vemuganti and I like to write about mega global trends, customer experiences, digital transformation, and the business of internet.

Being an ardent fan of fine writing, I always had an appetite to hunt-down and appreciate great white paper. Whenever I get time I try to mesmerize myself by reading world-class publications, journals, books and articles.

First 20 years of my life was in Hyderabad, India.

Childhood summary: Large extended family filled with fun, food and festivals; extremely social in nature. Strong disciplinary value systems. Singing & playing the Piano. Production Engineering from Osmania University. And lots of dogs growing up(which I terribly miss now).

I have been living in the US since 2011; studying, analyzing and working in retail-tech.

After finishing grad school in Industrial Engineering at USC and I started working as a retail consultant at Wal-Mart.

Then continued my consulting career at IBM working at Kohl’s, Wal-Mart, Apple, AT&T, Lowes and Rite-Aid.

Earlier this year, I joined a Series C startup Symphony Commerce as a ‘Brand Strategy Manager’ where I am deeply involved with launching and growing D2C eCommerce businesses for Pacific Foods, Hershey’s, Jack Link’s, NatureSheaButter and Bumbleride.

I live in Silicon Valley, California.
